CERY'S STORY

Beginning

Exotic, vegetal, or embossed, dyed in lunar white to midnight blue, CERY was created at first througha rendez-vous with the materiality of leather. From astonished range of fashion house deadstock,Charlotte, the designer, gives a new breath to those sleeping skins, extending their life circle since 2016.

Form

Her creativity comes both from her imaginary poetry and a reflection on tanning usages. Getting inspired by vernacular objects such as a vintage tape, a brick, or the suspended flight of a bird, shere-designs classic shapes like tote or belt bag.

Philosophy

From eco-conception to fabrication, CERY develops gender neutral and limited-edition collections inher Parisian suburbs studio, in where are hiding her marvelous discoveries and traditional machinesfor leather handicraft.From the constraint of the existing to endless possibilities, unique and limited series pieces arecustom made in accordance to the colors, the types of skins and the workmanship chosen by oneanother.

Collaboration

By continuously challenging the leatherwork creations, CERY is shifting to new mediums for newscales, such as furniture. Thus, the studio sign two new collaborations for this autumn, one with aceramist and the other with a cabinetmaker, in where wood, leather and earth will intertwine.
